YOGA is the method by which the agitation of the mind is calmed and when it is controlled, it provides peace and generates energy for personal development.

The Iyengar method of yoga is attributed to the Master  Yogacharya Sri B.K.S. Iyengar (1918-2014) He lived in Bellur and Pune (India) where he taught and practiced yoga for 70 years at his institute (RIMYI). He also traveled to different countries to teach and write important books and yoga texts. He is globally recognized.

The most characteristic of the Iyengar method, based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, is the practice of asanas (physical postures) and pranayama (concentration in the breath) using the body to penetrate with the consciousness in our interior.

It works with great technical precision the alignment of the body, through detailed adjustments, has a sequencing and permanence time in the specific postures of this method and uses special props.

By the very meticulous way of practicing it makes possible an important therapeutic help, to the yoga students, improving mental disorders (anxiety, stress, depression, insomnia) and physical disorders (back problems, lumbago, sciatica, torticollis, scoliosis, hyperlordosis, protrusions, respiratory, circulatory ,hypertension, neurological MS helping improving the balance and movility , constipation, , menstrual pains, pregnancy, etc.
